julying in the heat

I can't even begin to describe the craziness that was July.

My reading definitely took a hit, though I am happy with how much I ended up doing

Unfortunately I did not get around to finishing up Camp- NaNo, which bummed me out so much. I did a few chapters but that was it *cries* Now that I'm finally settled into my new place, I am hoping to set up a writing corner.

Alright, on to the tracking:

My TBR for the month got packed away earlier than expected
but then I ordered books half way through the month (thanks bookoutlet!)

so I just opened up the box and read a bunch of those ones *grins*

- the bone gap
- dumplin'
- the real deal (via netgalley)
- scythe
- a thousand nights
- Mayfair
- daughter of the pirate king
- my new crush gave to me

and 3 for Summer's Eve reads

which puts me right now at 99/200! happy dances all around.

August is looking pretty empty, work wise, which is unfortunate but it means I got lots of time to hang around (though I still am figuring out where all my books can go)

I am not making a TBR this month, because I have lost control of what I was doing before the move. Honestly, it feels like my year has been split into before/after June (which is when everything hit the fan) and I have no idea what I'm doing anymore.

So I'm taking the next few weeks to getting back into my bookstagram, and the twitterverse and what I want to read.

and hopefully some writing

Now that the move is officially over, I am trying to figure out my new routine. No longer have a backyard so the dog needs to be walked more (which is nice because I get off my butt more) but I'm happy with how he's settling in. My neighbour is super creepy and the dog hates him, so I try and keep him off the balcony too. which is stupid because I should be able to sit outside with my puppy and read and not have to worry about some old guy getting my dog all riled up. Honestly.

I cannot wait for summer to be over. This heat is awful when you don't have air conditioning. The fan doesn't help. It's been rainy the past few days which has cooled stuff down, but still...

Come september I get a new routine with work at the college again (fingers crossed) which will be nice to have some sense of what the heck i'm doing every week.

Now, let's go find something to read ...
